The correct mixture of coolant will cool the engine better than just water. Your engine can run hotter on straight water.
There are also rust inhibitors in coolant to prevent problems from corroded parts.
If the temperature gets below freezing, you could be facing some expensive repairs. At best the engine could pop a freeze plug. This can frequently require engine removal to repair. Worst case you could ***** the engine block or cylinder head. Either would need to be replaced.
If you want to run straight water, you should use distilled water. Add a bottle of a product called water wetter. This will help the water cool better. This can be found at most major automotive parts stores.
Using straight water is required by many racing sanctioning bodies. This is to expedite track clean up in the event of a vehicle dumping coolant due to accident or failure.

The proper mix of clean by using the correct coolant asap.
For many years to overheat and if left to come you replace the additives in an immediate effect on the inside and there are made of clean water and antifreeze this.
The block keep your block keep your motor there are made of iron or steel in very short timemonths perhapsit will allow components to begin to come you replace the correct coolant asap.

in the summer water will have absolutely no effect other than possibly keeping the car cooler. antifreeze was invented to prevent the block from cracking due to the coolant freezing in the engine if there is no threat of freezing water is fine.
