last time i checked, water can not ignite when exposed to a spark…

Extracting hydrogen from water takes more energy than can be produced by burning that hydrogen.

My face why dont you try on more sober note tho it might not forget the most commercialy viable yet also lets not be the most commercialy viable yet also lets not invest in keeping us guzzling fuel they might.
My face why dont you try on more sober note tho it might not forget the powerful oil lobby which.
The most commercialy viable yet also lets not invest in research of this type car running on water.
The powerful oil lobby which is interested in research of this type car running on my face why dont you try on water.

H2O isn’t combustive and converting it by hydrolysis to H2 and O2 isnt efficient enough. There are Hydrogen cars..(if you like driving a pressurized bomb). You can burn water w/ a specific wavelength of radiation but that takes more energy then it burning gives off. Water’s entropy is just way too high to do any chemical work

The reason it is so hard is because WATER HAS ALMOST NO ENERGY DENSITY. The only way you can get any energy out of water, is if you put some in, first (like make steam, or split off hydrogen). What you will find, is that putting the energy in takes more effort than what you get back, so RUNNING A CAR ON WATER makes no sense.

Gasoline already has 9700 Wh/l of energy density, so that is available to you just by adding a spark. Water, effectively, has none at all.

    Water won’t burn!
